The Maldives has been awarded the “World’s Leading Dive Destination” and “Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination” at the World Travel Awards 2006. جزر المالديف وقد منحت "الراءده في العالم الغطس وجهه" و "المحيط الهندي الراءده في المقصد" في جوائز السفر العالمي 2006.

The Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation Dr. Mahamood Shougee accepted the Awards on behalf of the Maldivian tourism industry at this year’s World Travel Awards held at the Beaches in Turks & Caicos on 20th September. وزير السياحة والطيران المدني الدكتور mahamood shougee قبلت جوائز باسم الملديفيه صناعة السياحة في العالم لهذه السنة الذي عقد في جوائز السفر الشواطئ فى الاتراك على كايكوس & 20th ايلول / سبتمبر.

In addition, in the Regional category Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa won the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Resort” award and Soneva Gili Resort and Spa won the “Indian Ocean’s Leading Spa Resort” award. وبالاضافة الى ذلك ، في فئة الاقليمية هيلتون ملديف اللجوء داركوف الصحية وفاز "في المحيط الهندي الراءده في اللجوء" وجائزة soneva gili اللجوء داركوف الصحية وفاز "في المحيط الهندي الراءده في منتجع صحي اللجوء" جائزة.

In the national category of World Travel Awards, Coco Palm Resort and Spa won the “Maldives’ Leading Hotel” award; Soneva Fushi Resort and Spa won the “Maldives’ Leading Resort” award and Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa won the “Maldives Leading Resort Award”. في اللجنة الوطنية لفئة من جوائز السفر العالمي ، كوكو اللجوء النخيل ومنتجع صحي وفاز "ملديف قيادة فندق" جائزة ؛ soneva fushi اللجوء ومنتجع صحي وفاز "ملديف قيادة اللجوء" وجائزة هيلتون ملديف اللجوء داركوف الصحية وفاز "ملديف قيادة اللجوء جائزة ".
