“A privileged partnership” between India and Maldives "شراكة متميزه" بين الهند وملديف

New Delhi, 17 April. نيودلهي ، 17 نيسان / ابريل. India and Maldives have decided to develop “a privileged partnership” between the two countries. الهند وملديف قررت وضع "شراكة متميزه" بين البلدين.

Addressing a joint press conference with the Maldivian Foreign Minister Dr. Ahmad Shaheed in Male a short while before departing for home at the end of his two-day visit to the Island country yesterday, the Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that India would like “to maintain and consolidate its close links and trust with Maldives and to be of assistance, wherever and whenever we can, with our friends”. تناول مؤتمر صحافي مشترك مع وزير الخارجية الملديفيه الدكتور احمد شهيد الذكور في فترة قصيرة وقبل مغادرته لفي الصفحه الاولى من انتهاء فترة ولايته لمدة يومين لزيارة الجزيرة القطريه امس ، وزير الدفاع pranab قال موخرجي ان الهند تود ان " صيانة وتدعيم روابط وثيقة والثقة مع المالديف والى ان تقدم المساعدة ، اينما ومتى يمكننا ، مع اصدقائنا ".

Describing Maldives as an important member and partner of the Indian Ocean Region,Mukherjee said that India’s mutually beneficial relationship with the Republic of Maldives will not only secure its vital interests in the region, but also reinvigorate our ties with a key member of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). كما وصف ملديف عضو هام وشريك من منطقة المحيط الهندي ، وقال موخرجي ان الهند ذات فائدة متبادله مع جمهورية ملديف لن تأمين مصالحها الحيويه في المنطقة ، ولكن أيضا إعادة تنشيط علاقاتنا مع الاعضاء الرئيسية لل رابطة جنوب آسيا للتعاون الاقليمي. He reiterated New Delhi’s desire to strengthen relations with Maldives “on the basis of equality and respect so as to elevate them to an ever high level”. وكرر الاعراب عن رغبة نيودلهي لتعزيز العلاقات مع ملديف "على اساس المساواة والاحترام وذلك من اجل الارتقاء بها الى مستوى عال من اي وقت مضى".

Earlier, in the day, India handed over the INS Tillanchang to the Maldives National Security Service Coast Guard at an impressive ceremony held in the port city of Male – the capital of Maldives. وفي وقت سابق ، في يوم والهند وتسليمها الى داءره الهجره والتجنيس tillanchang ملديف داءره الامن الوطني خفر السواحل راءعه في احتفال أقيم في ميناء مدينة مالي -- عاصمة ملديف. With a gentle breeze blowing from the Indian Ocean, on an otherwise sultry morning, the Indian ensign was hauled down for the last time from INS Tillanchang. مع نسيم خفيف تهب من المحيط الهندي ، على خلاف sultry الصباح ، وكان الهندي hauled اسفل الرايه للمرة الاخيرة tillanchang من داءره الهجره والتجنيس. The Maldivian National flag was hauled up and the ship was rechristened “Huravee” after a Maldivian hero and a freedom fighter. الملديفيه العلم الوطني كان hauled وكانت السفينة rechristened "huravee" بعد الملديفيه البطل والمناضل في سبيل الحرية. A galaxy of dignitaries of Maldives including the President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, Minister of Defence and National Security Mr Ismail Shaifeeu, Foreign Minister Dr Ahmad Shaheed attend the ceremony. أ مجرة من الشخصيات ملديف بما في ذلك الرئيس مأمون عبد القيوم ، ووزير الدفاع والأمن الوطني السيد اسماعيل shaifeeu ، وزير الخارجية الدكتور احمد شهيد حضور الحفل.

The Indian side was led by the Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee. وكان الجانب الهندى برئاسة وزير الدفاع شري pranab موخرجي. Others who attended the function included the Indian High Commissioner Shri AK Pande, Chairman and Managing Director of Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Rear Admiral TS Ganeshan, senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and Indian Navy. وحضر من غيرهم وتشمل وظيفة المفوض السامى الهندى شرى اك pande ، الرئيس والمدير الاداري لتصل الى حديقة السفن والمهندسين الادميرال ganeshan الملخص التنفيذي ، وكبار المسؤولين من وزارة الدفاع والبحرية الهندية. Speaking on the occasion Shri Mukherjee described the event as a “truly landmark and historic one” and announced that the Indian Navy will assist the National Security Service in the maintenance and up keep of this patrol craft during her lifetime. تحدث عن بمناسبه شري موخرجي ووصف الحدث بأنه "حقا تاريخيا ومعلما واحدا" ، واعلن ان البحرية الهندية سوف تساعد داءره الامن الوطني في المحافظة وحتى تبقى هذه سفن الدوريات خلال حياتها.

Named after one of the islands of the Andaman and Nicobar chain, the INS Tillanchang, built by Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata was inducted into the Indian Navy five years ago. التي تحمل اسم واحدة من جزر اندامان وسلسلة Nicobar ، tillanchang داءره الهجره والتجنيس ، الذي بني من قبل القطاع العام الدفاع التعهد ، حديقة تصل السفن والمهندسين (grse) ، وكان يجند في كلكتا الهندية البحرية قبل خمس سنوات. The main armament is the indigenous 30 mm gun, manufactured by Ordnance factory Medak. الرئيسية التسلح السكان الأصليين هو 30 ملم ومسدسا من صنع مصنع ذخيره ميداك. Two high speed boats have been provided onboard for facilitating rapid interception in shallow waters and lifesaving tasks. اثنين من زوارق عالية السرعه قدمت على متن السريع لتسهيل الاعتراض في المياه الضحله وانقاذ المهام. Powered by MTU engines of German make it has a maximum speeds of 28 knots and is capable of extended deployment up to 2000 nautical miles. تصميم محركات MTU الالمانيه فقد جعل الحد الاقصى بسرعة 28 عقدة ، وتكون قادرة على توسيع نطاق نشر ما يصل الى 2000 ميل بحري. The ship is also capable of mobilizing a naval Quick Reaction Team of up to 35 men at short notice. السفينة هى ايضا قادرة على تعبئة بحرية للرد السريع الى فريق من 35 رجلا في غضون مهلة قصيرة.

The ship will primarily be used for patrolling, policing and search and rescue missions in the vast areas of sea around Maldivian chain of islands, considerably enhancing their capability against illegal poaching and drug trafficking. السفينة سوف تستخدم فى المقام الاول ان تكون لدوريات الشرطة والبحث والانقاذ في مناطق شاسعه من البحر ملديف حول سلسلة من الجزر ، الى تحسين قدرتها على مكافحة الصيد غير المشروع وغير المشروع والاتجار في المخدرات.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Defence and National Security of Maldives Mr. Ismail Shaifeeu lauded the role of Indian government in dispatching ships with relief supplies with “promptness and alacrity” to provide immediate succour to the affected people in the aftermath of the devastating tsunami in December 2004. وفي معرض الحديث عن المناسبه ، ووزير الدفاع والأمن الوطني السيد اسماعيل ملديف shaifeeu اشاد بدور الحكومة الهندية في ارسال سفن مع امدادات الاغاثه مع "السرعه واللهفه" فوري وتقديم العون الى السكان المتضررين فى اعقاب المدمر امواج تسونامي في كانون الاول / ديسمبر 2004. ‘The role of the Indian Government in launching Operation Cactus in December 1988 was a defining moment in the relationship between the two countries and a landmark event in the history of their nation’, he said. 'دور الحكومة الهندية في اطلاق عملية الصبار في كانون الاول / ديسمبر 1988 كانت لحظة حاسمة في العلاقة بين البلدين وحدثا بارزا في تاريخ امتهم' ، كما قال.

Later in the day, Mukherjee called on the President of Maldives and held high level interactions with the Defence and Foreign Minister of Maldives. وفي وقت لاحق من اليوم ، موخرجي ودعا رئيس المالديف والتفاعلات التي عقدت على مستوى عال مع وزير الخارجية والدفاع وملديف.
